Connecting Street Children
I believe investing in children is how we are going to build a powerful nation. Every child has the right to get education, skills and to be happy. I got the opportunity to work with street children in my community. I believe that by giving back to them the skills that I have, it can help them to achieve their goals; to be a good example to the community and to be good leaders in their family and community. Mwinyi (22 years old) "A lot of things have changed since I joined Pamoja. My behaviour was not good. I didn’t have time with my family. I was with bad groups and staying in the street, using drugs with other kids and working as a craftsman when I could. I faced a lot of challenges on the streets, like using drugs and stealing from people. Before, my community saw me as not good because of my behaviour. Because I was a street kid. July Update
See what we've been up to for the past month! It's been a couple months since we've updated you so we'll focus on the highlights! The Street-Connected Youth Education Program is going well and has entered into its second year.
